Originless could have been a really decent watch, if it had only made its mind up about what it wanted to be.
Instead, this film oscillates between being an action vampire flick and a art house affair, with lots of dark vampiric sets pieces, accompanied by drippy, sort of classical, music. The latter is, in large part, by way of origin story, which, given the title and the opening scenes, was not really necessary. At least not to this degree.
The results a film, that squanders any genuine potential it could have had, due in large part, to its inconsistent treatment.
In summary, it never ceases to amaze me how a pretty solid idea, can be so easily compromised. Keep it simple should have been the by word here. Instead, this one's deeply superficial and only moderately watchable.
