Threads is a romantic drama inspired by the emotional song Ito by Miyuki Nakajima, exploring the theme of destined love separated by life’s twists. The film uses a non-linear timeline effectively and develops its main characters well, although the narrative focus becomes uneven—especially during Ren’s arc, which feels rushed and overcrowded. Despite some pacing issues, the heartfelt performances by Nana Komatsu and Masaki Suda make this film a touching watch worth experiencing.
